How The Program Works

Structure: The course is structured as 12 Modules over 24 sessions, with each Module pertaining to a different aspect of what it takes to be a great Financial Advisor. Each session is conducted directly with me via telephone, at the rate of one session every two weeks.  You also have access to me anytime in-between our sessions. Faster tracks are available upon request.

Flexibility: Each Business Development Program (BDP) Advisor has different needs. Therefore, within the structure of the 12 Modules, clients may choose to emphasize certain areas in which they feel the most help is needed. Similarly, certain areas may be de-emphasized. However, each Advisor should recognize the logical sequence and comprehensive nature of the program, being careful not to short circuit effectiveness by eliminating key elements.

Suitability: As a small business consultant with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, I have designed this course to serve Fiinancial Advisors of all types:
Independent Financial Planners, RIA's, Asset Managers, Wholesalers, Bankers and CPA's.
Past participants have experience ranging from first year "Rookies" to 35-year veterans.
The more entrepreneurial you are, the more this program applies directly to your daily work.  
This program is suitable regardless of your compensation method.

Commitment: As a BDP Client and student of "The Spirit of The Financial Advisor" Program, you will receive an overview of each Module, usually containing 4-6 pages. In addition, you will be required to complete an assignment relating to each Module. Some of these assignments are relatively simple, some are more complex. On average, it will take about an hour to read each overview, and another two hours to think and complete each assignment.

E-mail is the required method for communicating your written work. All assignments are due
one week before your telephone session, allowing time for me to review and prepare for our
appointment. You will always have at least two modules in hand, so you can put in extra time
in any area you choose. You will always have at least 4 weeks to complete each Module.

A lot of time is spent reviewing your assignments, preparing for your telephone sessions,
making notes and "cleaning up" afterwards, plus time actually working on your business.
You receive a Work Status Report and an agreed upon To Do List  each time we speak.

Fees: I charge $10,000 for the full year's program.  A down payment of $5,000 is made
at the time of engagement, with the balance due six months from that date.  Payment accepted
by check or credit card (Master Card / Visa).  The first two Modules are emailed as soon as payment is received.  You pay for the long-distance telephone charges during your sessions.
You will be given a separate, private consultation line to call upon sign up.  For Advisors
who choose to continue past the first year, year two payments are made $2.500 per quarter,
and begin 12 months after sign up, regardless of where one is in the program.

Service: You may call my toll-free number for guidance, clarification and answers to questions anytime in-between your sessions.  I return all calls promptly…Usually within an hour if I’m in another session, always the same half day.  If I’m on the road, your call may be returned in the early evening. You will always be told if I am out of town speaking, and when you can expect a return call.  In addition, we can talk between sessions just to check in. You are hiring me to be your full service, Comprehensive Business Advisor.

What You Get: You receive the 12 overviews, 12 assignments, 24 coaching sessions,
access to telephone consultations in-between, same-day return call service, and an irrevocable
commitment to your success. You also receive my own 24 years of planning, business, legal,
marketing and sales experience in building and servicing a nationwide clientele. Finally, you
receive a proven business development program designed to help you define and achieve
your highest goals.
